How it works

Three steps to a better grade

Built so you know exactly what you're getting before you commit to anything.

1

Book a call, meet your tutor

You'll talk straight with Daniel — the person who'll actually teach your child, not a call center or a rotating roster. Tell him the grade and the goal, and you'll both figure out whether it's the right fit.

2

A $30 first session

A 30-minute session over Google Meet. We give a short diagnostic tuned to your goal — a grade level, a class, or a test like the SHSAT — and pinpoint the gaps.

3

Sessions built around the gaps

Ongoing one-hour sessions, online or in person, each one aimed at the specific skills the diagnostic flagged. Targeted homework between sessions.

Your tutor · NYC physics major

I'm a physics major in New York. I've tutored math one-on-one for the last few years, and spent a year teaching robotics to younger students.

Math stopped being scary for me the moment someone showed me it's just small pieces stacked carefully. That's how I teach it.

Sessions run an hour, online over Google Meet with a whiteboard we both draw on, or in person around the city. We start with a short diagnostic, so we're working on real gaps instead of guessing. Math is the only thing I teach: elementary arithmetic up through AP Calculus AB, plus SHSAT and state-test prep.

You'll always work with me. Not a call center.

Questions parents ask

How do online sessions work?+

Over Google Meet, with a shared digital whiteboard so we can work problems together in real time — the same back-and-forth as sitting side by side, from home.

What are your qualifications?+

I'm a physics major and have tutored math for several years, including a year teaching robotics to younger students. Math is the only thing I teach, on purpose.

How does the diagnostic work?+

After the call, the first session includes a short diagnostic matched to your goal — a general grade-level check, a specific class, or a test like the SHSAT. It tells us which skills to target first instead of guessing.

What's your cancellation policy?+

Just give 24 hours' notice to reschedule or cancel a session at no charge.

How is in-person tutoring arranged?+

In-person sessions happen somewhere safe and public around NYC — a library or similar — or with a parent present. We sort out the exact spot privately once you book; it's never posted publicly.

How do I pay?+

Booking reserves your slot; you confirm it by sending payment via Zelle, Venmo, or check. We send instructions after you book, and confirm your spot once it's received.
